Nutrition & Dietetics
Dietitians contribute to the care of both inpatients and outpatients. They work with children and adults across a wide range of specialities. They concentrate on offering advice and support for the following conditions:
* diabetes
* coeliac disease
* hyperlipidaemia
* obesity
* undernourishment and diet for long-term illness
* feeding and swallowing difficulties
* eating disorders
* pre and post surgical nutritional support
* pre-conceptual nutrition
* ante and post natal advice.
The service is managed by a clinical head who is responsible for ensuring that:
each individual patient receives a high standard of service
each dietitian has and maintains their specialist skills
the dietetic departments are well equipped and maintained
Nutrition & Dietetic services are provided at the following sites:

- Tickhill Road Hospital
- St Catherine's Hospital
- Loversall Hospital
- Retford Hospital
- Rampton Hospital
- St John’s Hospice
- 40+ GP Surgeries.
