Smoking at hospital: we want your views

We want to know what you think about our smoking policy at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital and Montagu Hospital in Mexborough. 

Smoking is currently banned on all our hospital sites.  Patients, visitors and staff are asked to leave the sites altogether if they wish to smoke.  The ban is not without problems, however.  We are conscious that some people ignore the ban while others drop cigarette butts on the streets outside the hospital. 

That’s why we’ve launched a smoking taskforce to seek the views of staff, patients, visitors and local residents on the best way of managing the problem.  We want to hear from smokers and non-smokers and we’re keen to know what you think would be the best way of managing smoking by patients, visitors and staff.
