Montagu Hospital is one of the key hospitals in the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Montagu Hospital has 115 beds. Each year, the Hospital treats around 150,000 patients (Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Montagu Hospital figures combined). A £4.7m redevelopment and refurbishment programme has recently been completed.

Montagu Hospital is situated in residential area of Mexborough with numerous bus services. Transport between Montagu Hospital and DRI is provided - via a booking service - for patients and staff.

HOSPITAL CAR PARKS EXTENDED AND SECURITY UPGRADED

By mid-June, Montagu Hospital will have two new car parks, one for staff and the other for the public.

The public car park has 131 spaces, accessed via Gate 4 off Adwick Road.  The location of this car park was chosen to give the closest access to the Outpatients Department and the Minor Injuries Unit. It has CCTV, emergency help points, high-quality lighting and security barriers.  Every effort has been made to make the car park as convenient and safe as possible.

The car parking charges will apply Monday to Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays) between 7.30am and 8.30pm.  Outside these times, the security barrier will remain in place, but the payment machines will make no charges for the ‘free’ period. 

The current rates are 70p for the first 2 hours or £1.20 for up to 4 hours and £2.20 for a full day.  Car park users will pay on exit, at three pay machines located around the site, all well sign posted. 

Disabled spaces remain free of charge and are located next to buildings all around the site.

We have also designated a FREE car park in the Nurses’ Home off Cemetery Road, which has 47 spaces.

The Trust’s car parking charges are currently under review and will be applied consistently throughout the Trust.
