Visiting times (last updated 24/12/2013) at Bassetlaw Hospital, Worksop:


Ward A2 (Maternity Ward)

Partners only – open visiting

General visiting – 2.00 – 3.00pm and                           6.00 – 8.00pm

Maximum of three visitors to a bed. Children may visit but no children under the age of one.

Closed to visitors between 12.30 and 2.30pm for mother’s rest time



Labour Ward

We endeavour to accommodate your choice of the number of birthing partners you may have with you, please discuss with staff. Visitors are at the discretion of the mother and nursing staff.   

Ward A4 (Rehabilitation Ward)

11.00am - 8.00pm


Ward A5

1.00 pm to 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm


Ward B5 (Orthopaedic Ward)

2.00 - 7.00pm

Ward B6 (Surgical Ward)

2.00 – 4.00pm and 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Two visitors per bedside please. The ward is closed to visitors at meal times.

Children’s Ward (A3)

Open visiting for parents as this is beneficial to patients and supports the philosophy of family centred care - 9.00am – 8.00pm.  


Ward C1

1.00pm - 5.00pm and 7.00pm - 8.00pm


Ward C2/Coronray Care Unit & Endocrinology 

11.00am - 8.00pm


Assessment Treatment Centre (ATC)


11.00am - 8.00pm 

Intensive Care Unit

12.00 pm - 1.30 pm and 5.00pm - 7.30pm

In certain circumstances we support open visiting and overnight accommodation.


Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU)

Open visiting for parents until 8.00pm. Other visitors have to be approved by the parents who should complete a list of people they are happy to visit in their absence. 


Day Surgery Unit

9.00am – 12.00pm

2.00pm until the close of the unit
