Clean hands, clean hospitals

MRSA Screening - Statement of Compliance.

We take our responsibilities for the prevention and management of infection very seriously.

I confirm that all patients admitted to Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, either as an emergency or as an elective (planned) case, will be screened for MRSA in line with the Department of Health's latest guidance.

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will ensure compliance with a screening policy by monitoring on a monthly basis.

In support of this statement, the Trust considers it is and will continue to be in compliance with this policy to screen all elective and non-elective admissions for MRSA.

Information explaining MRSA screening in these hospitals and treatment is available by clicking on the blue text.  Our policy on the management of MRSA, which includes screening patients for MRSA, and general information about prevention of infection is also available on this website.

Our aim is to ensure that patients, their families and the people of Bassetlaw and Doncaster feel reassured by the positive steps we have taken to provide safe and effective healthcare.  If you require further information do not hesitate to contact the Trust's Infection Prevention and Control Team on 01302 647232.
